"I am drawn to creating images that reflect the complexity and diversity of the world we inhabit, and its constant evolution."
Remnim Tayco is creating compelling art. Winner of the Young Emerging Artist's Award at the Mosman Art Prize in 2013, he has held six solo exhibitions since 2010, includingFolded Lines at Broken Hill Regional Gallery in 2015.
Remnim has found his inspiration in the techniques and subject matter of 17th century Dutch masters - the intense detail, romantic landscapes, exquisite rendering of light - all achieved through the fine application of oil paint and painstaking draughtsmanship.

Solitary is an exploration in seclusion, stillness and self-reflection. An investigation into the times when we search for true insight and connection to our authentic self. A time when we can feel utter loneliness and segregation. Or a time to think and assess; to reach a state of self-realisation and discover the possibilities of self. We reside in an age of persistent distraction, often surrounded by an insistent noise. This work investigates the private, momentary search for silence.
