Hanna Kay is magnificent oils on rice paper gracing our living room along with three-dimensional work by Michael Keighery and Somchai Charoen. Proud to be taking Hannahs work for exhibition in Beijing later in the year.

It’s a bit nippy up on deck but I’ve found a good position ...warm air blowing from the ventilation system

Arriving in Finland

Well, the crowd went wild and rightly so. I expected tutus, of which i am not fond, in this production of peer gynt at The Riga opera house. Instead I was treated a warm, passionate, witty hour and a half choreographed by much- feted young Romanian/Slovenian Edward Clug. Set and costume design fabulous. One quirky detail: as the anti-hero is about to part with his forlorn love, she gives him a coin as a parting gift. He wanders over to a toy plane, drops the coin in the slot and gently rocks his way to faraway lands. So bold playing with humour at this stage of the story!
