Gallery hours are Wed ? Fri, 12 ? 8pm and Sat & Sun, 11 -5pm.

Wilson Street Gallery’s latest exhibition brings together a diverse collection of works on or made from paper. Gallery manager, Michelle Perry, also director of Marnling Press, has curated an exhibition with exceptional range and appeal and which challenges existing boundaries.

‘This show brings together vibrant silkscreen prints from Marnling Press with the elegance of etchings produced by Diana Davidson at Whaling Road Studio’ she said.  ‘There are also some superb examples of acrylic, watercolour and charcoal on paper as well as collage and three-dimensional works.’

Visitors to the gallery will be entranced by the array of artists and the variety of media as the eye is drawn from the masters such as Charles Blackman and Arthur Boyd to lithographs and watercolours by emerging artists and the quirky dioramas of designer and artist Craig Russell.

Artistic director, Joe Eisenberg, said that works on paper offer a viable entry point for art collectors. ‘There is a growing interest in works on paper’ he said.  They are not only affordable,  but the medium is inherently beautiful and offers scope for true experimentation.’

The exhibition opens Saturday, 23rd  June and runs until 15th July.
